Claudine's travels

Just a reminder that Claudine did share some of  her later adventures with us all.

Her float trip down the Colorado is here in an earlier post as well as her later trip to Tunisia.

For her trip to China and Tibet, you can find her thoughts and pictures in:

She is gone now on her final trip and we will miss her.

CHECK OUT SOME OF DON'S WORK

A note from Don Kunz:

Many thanks for posting that note about Richard Copaken's daughter.

I am still writing and occasionally getting published in little literary magazines which are difficult to find.  So, sending a list of what I have written would not help any of my old classmates who might want to read any of it.  However, I have had a couple of short stories published recently which are accessible on line.  So, if anyone is interested here they are:

"Birds and Eggs" can be found at  www.fertilesource.com

The second one is a little tricky:  when you click on the link, the journal's cover will appear, then you have to put your cursor on the lower right hand corner and when it starts to wrinkle, click your mouse and a page will turn, keep turning; my story starts on page 34.  After going to all that work at least you will find the story is happily short.

In contrast to your Kansas City weather, it is in the 60's here most days and sometimes falls below freezing at night.  On Mt. Bachelor, 25 minutes away, they are open for skiing this weekend.  I think our summer will come on a Thursday this year.

All the best to you and yours,

Don

A Note From Don Kunz 06/25/12

Hi, Bob,

I know you occasionally post to the Paseo website or are at least still in correspondence with many of our Paseo class.  so, here is something to share with them if you wish or have the time.  One of Richard Copaken's daughters, Deborah Copaken Kogan, is getting a lot of recognition for her latest book, The Red Book.  I read two of her earlier works, a novel titled Between Here and April, and a collection of essays, Hell is Other Parents.  I would recommend both, but I especially enjoyed Hell is Other Parents which I thought was courageously candid and hysterically funny.

I think members of our class would take special pleasure in reading Deborah's books and remembering Richard.

Hope all is well with you.

Don

Memories of a great athlete from our class of 1959

From Rex Weddle:

Bob, for some reason I couldn't get this old clip of Dick K making a terrific fielding play to play; however, if you can and it's downloadable to the Paseo site, might make for an interesting addition.

you can copy the following to the address bar of your browser:

will play with Realplayer on computer (free download)

This 22 second video was from the 86 old timer all-star game!

Dick Kenworthy made an excellent play.
